Installation

The FS1805M smoke detectors from ELRO are supplied with a magnetic assembly set. This set ensures that placing the smoke detectors is a piece of cake. The assembly set consists of 2 strong magnetic discs with high quality adhesive strips. You place one of the magnetic discs on the smoke detector and the other on the ceiling. Finally, you click the smoke detector with the magnetic disc on the ceiling.

We recommend placing at least one smoke detector on each floor of your home. Always place a smoke detector on the ceiling. The best places to place a detector are part of your escape route, for instance in the corridor, the landing and stairwells.

Maintenance

To ensure the optimal operation of the smoke detector, it is important to keep it clean. The easiest way is to clean it, is once a month with the vacuum cleaner. Never use detergents when cleaning detectors. Additionally, we recommend you to test the functions of the smoke detector every month by pressing the test button.
