The ELRO PRO PS4910 smoke detector ensures that you are warned in time in case of a fire. This detector has a 10-year lithium battery. This means you are protected for no less than 10 years, without having to replace the battery.

The ELRO PRO PK4910 carbon monoxide detector ensures that you are warned in time when toxic carbon monoxide gas is generated. This gas is odourless and invisible, making it undetectable without a detector. Carbon monoxide is created by incomplete combustion and can occur in your chimney, geyser or central heating boiler. This ELRO PRO carbon monoxide detector has a battery life of no less than 10 years.

Automatic self-test

For smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, it is recommended to regularly test whether they still function. With these ELRO detectors, you do not have to do this yourself as these have a so-called self-test function. This means that the detector tests its functions once a month. This happens randomly and the detector then gives off an audible beep to test its sound as well. So you don't have to climb a stepladder yourself every time to test your smoke detectors. Convenient, isn’t it?

In addition, the PS4910 smoke detector has a smart sensor that automatically dims the LED lighting in dark rooms. This means you won't be bothered by a flashing light at night and it is therefore extremely suitable for installation in bedrooms.

Installation

The ELRO PRO smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are supplied as standard with all the necessary fixing material. This allows you to easily mount the detector at the desired location. The PS4910 smoke detector is suitable for both ceiling and wall mounting. You can mount the PK4910 carbon monoxide detector to your wall with screws.

We recommend installing at least one smoke detector on every floor of your home. Preferably install smoke detectors in rooms that are along your escape route, such as the corridor, hall and landing. In addition, we recommend installing smoke detectors in bedrooms and in rooms with electronic equipment. Please note that because the actual alarm may be harmful to your hearing when you are nearby, the test volume will be somewhat lower than the actual alarm sound.

For optimal functioning, place the carbon monoxide detector on the wall at about 1.5 m from the floor. Make sure it is at least 1.85m away from a combustion device.

Maintenance

For optimal operation of the smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, it is important to keep it clean. The easiest way is to dust the detectors once a month with a vacuum cleaner. Never use cleaning agents on the alarms when cleaning.
